You're banned

Haha. I think this is funny.

Well-

I definitely liked the textures or "sounds" you used a lot!! And the main idea too.

But I felt like you should make it GO somewhere, ya know? Go from idea A to idea B to A then to C.

And by idea, I mean musically. Thought the build up was good, I still felt like it should go somewhere. :D

PsyVamp responds:

I'll keep that in mind if I ever go back and rework on the song.

Indeed

I found it rather interesting. I really liked it.

I feel ya

Man I feel ya bro.

But don't you hate it even more when you pour yourself a bowl of milk...

Interesting

I really love odd sounding material like this. I really enjoyed it.

BogglesWorth responds:

Thanks man, just trying to be original and a bit of a game changer... Glad you enjoyed it... Thank you for your input and support.

YES. Now finish it.

Awesome. Now finish it and have cliché 80s lyrics. Something cheesy about love, drugs, sex, or all three:

"Like a wind of fire!
Got me burning in a flame of desire.
Heat it now!
Baby we'll show you how.
Like a wave of passion!
Love has no taste or fashion.
Oh yeah!"

Nice

Hey Arnold and Dubstep?
Well, call me a football head.

The only thing I'd suggest to work on it make the main bass line come out more. I feel like it's struggling really hard to be "dubstep" but I really like it. Also, it needs to change up some. Too repetitive for the most part.

TPMC responds:

Thanks, any tips on it? Such as how I could bring the bass out a bit more, etc. And any tips at all on making some other dubsteppy kinda bass sounds? Like:

I love that bass sound.

Awesome.

I'm really glad my little tune influenced this! Great stuff.

Now on a technical side, what all are you using to make this? I like the depth the sounds have and I have a problem with reconstructing that depth with a computer. I typically just play things straight into from my keyboards and try EQing but I think I need major tips. :D

Silta responds:

Yeah I just loved the simplicity.
I used FL Studio I think 9.6 Beta, though the newest version out is 9.8. For the bell-tinkling-ish sounds I used a Sytrus preset, as well as for the lead melody snyth harmonies and the nylon-ish guitar. Just regular samples for the percussion though.
In terms of general mixing. I had two channels of the melody synth. Those 2 channels were sent to the same mixer channel, which had a little Reverb and actually (now that I have it in front of me) a surprisingly heavy LP filter. Mastering just had reverb and EQ, boosted at pretty much all frequencies except 1800Hz and 9500 Hz, both of which were lowered from their original point. That gave both a brightness and a depth to the sound, without it getting too muddy or overpowering. I also had a Flanger working, which I'm still not exactly sure how it works or what it does, but it seemed to add some phasing and airiness to the original sound, making it lighter and more blending. Then, a general limiter to top it off, which really didn't do much in the end :P

But yeah, all of these sounds were on my vomputer, I just sorta.... found them :P And then used the best ones for this. I input everything through basically point-and-click, which I've really gotten used to and come to love, although a keyboard might someday be nice since I'm learning piano now.

Hope this helps, and thanks for listening! :)
